Ludlow Highlights

“Offering much more than a slide down a hill,” (as the NY Times describes Ludlow), adventures are everywhere. Before becoming a wonderful ski destination, Ludlow was a small mill town. Beautiful waterfalls and popular swimming holes adorn the countryside. The slopes of Okemo Mountain attract skiers every winter along with sugar houses for wonderful VT maple syrup products. Apart from skiing and snowboarding, you can go tubing, ice skating, etc. Visitors can also enjoy the abundance of off-mountain pleasures such as strolling and picture-taking in this lovely town which is embraced by beautiful snowy mountains. You can find the Black River Academy, a historic school building (now a museum) with its three-story masonry structure, a four-story tower at one corner, and a pyramidal roof. Ludlow has a wide variety of restaurants, shopping opportunities galore, wonderful hotels and very friendly people. There is SO much to do!!!
