Auburn Highlights

This small town, ‘slow-paced with a relaxed attitude’ is the best description for Auburn. Settled in 1729, it has maintained its slow pace in growth with a relaxed attitude. The town was named after a village in a poem, “The Deserted Village,” by Oliver Goldsmith. Auburn is a perfect setting that mixes rural living with the serene beauty of nature. Including the largest portion of Lake Massabesic, which supplies water to the surrounding communities, hiking, trail jogging, mountain biking, fishing, and boating are enjoyed in this great little town. An abandoned railroad bed runs through Auburn and is available for offroad vehicles. Picnic areas are in abundance for a rest or for lunch during your busy day. As you relax, you can enjoy the most scenic cliffs and waterways southern NH has to offer.
