Lempster Highlights
With its long stretches of shoreland, 111 miles of crystal clear rivers and streams, one of the highest qualities of wildlife habitat, Lempster takes pride in its town. The Miner Memorial Library (1845), an example of Vernacular architecture, was once a church. It now houses books for all ages. Long Pond Town Forest, having over 640 acres of preserved land, provides fishing, a picnic area, a boat launch and a great beach for its residents. Plans for a trail system are in the future. Located on Bean Mountain, the highest point in Lempster, is the Lempster Commercial Wind Farm. This is a location for NHs first wind turbines in which it houses 12-10-MV of them. NH Motocross Park, providing a natural terrain track layout (some dirt/some sand), spectator area, fast-paced racing, demolition derbies and free overnight camping, would certainly be a day full of excitement. Lempster does not have any restaurants or hotels but you will find plenty only a short distance away. Lempster is small and friendly. You will be welcomed warmly. Stop by!
