Milan Highlights
Milan is a very small and quiet village. Because of its effective urban forest management, (Milan Community Forest) Milan has won the award for “Tree City USA” for 16 years consecutively. “Piece by piece, Milan is assembling a community forest that will serve the town for generations” as the residents put it. Acres (1,393 to be exact) have been purchased, little by little, and are managed by volunteers. You will find wildlife habitats, trails for hiking, places for fishing, hunting, timber harvesting and much more. West Milan North Trailhead and York Pond East Trailhead are two places you will want to visit. Lush surroundings everywhere you look. Milan Hill State Park is located on a hilltop and invites great camping. Many other campgrounds can be found for RVs, tents, yurts, and Adirondack shelters. Restaurants such as AJ’s Milan Luncheonette and Variety serves up delicious breakfast, lunch and even pizza and Gords Corner Store has a variety of goods from deli goodies to ice cream. Milan might be small. Milan might be quiet. But Milan is large and loud with wonderful memories for you to take home.
