Woodsville Highlights
Woodsville is the largest village in the town of Haverhill, NH but quite small in its population. It is located along the CT River on the VT border. This village was named after John Woods, a resident in the town’s early development, who operated a sawmill manufacturing pine lumber and even opened a small store in his house! Lovely Victorian architecture can be seen here. Haverhill Bath Bridge (1829), a covered bridge for foot traffic only, joins Bath and Woodsville and is considered the oldest in the state. Nootka Lodge, lodging with log cabin style, has an outdoor pool, hot tub, game room, fitness center and various lodging options. Restaurants include Iron Rail Bar and Grille, rustic and serving cozy American-style food; Shiloh’s, a great small town eatery with its rustic decor and Gather Together Cafe, a breakfast fare where EVERYTHING is made from scratch. Adorable town. Stop by!
