Learn more about Conway

Conway, comprising of five villages (Conway, North Conway, Center Conway, Redstone and Kearsarge) is one of the most populous communities in the country thanks to the tourist area of North Conway. Redstone, one of the villages of Conway, is home to old granite quarry sites, especially red ones (thus the name) were quarried! Many archeological sites show remnants of buildings and machinery during that era. Echo Lake State Park is great for swimming or picnicking and there is a scenic trail that encircles the lake. If you are looking for views of the White Mountains from a summit, the Cathedral Ledge is where you want to be. It is also popular to hike. Or, you can use the auto road if preferred. And then, Green Hill Preserve awaits with 5,500 acres of exposed ridge habitats, wetlands, mixed hardwood forests and wildlife. It welcomes the public to hike their 50 mile trail. By now, you must be hungry. Food you ask? Well of course! You will find Frye’s Store (a landmark with lots of history) in the center of Conway which is a great place to grab lunch; Tuckerman Brewery (outdoor dining and a beer garden); Cheese Louise (a food truck featuring unique grilled cheese sandwiches and ice cream); Jonathan’s Seafood (indoor dining, patio or take out of fresh seafood); Banners Restaurant (a quaint diner with comfort food) and we can’t forget Bea’s Cafe, with its homemade food. It is the “fastest served food in town.”
