Learn more about Fremont

Originally part of Exeter, this small rural community is located only 17 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. It is home to many young professionals. Once considered a mill town and to have the largest brickyard in the state, it was home to the majestic Eastern pine trees used for the mast of the ships of the Royal Navy. An 1880, unspoiled meeting house still stands and is a well-preserved example of the Federal period. The Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail is available for walkers, hikers, mountain bikers. With its hard packed dirt, deep woods, marshlands, small lakes and….even a few tunnels to explore….you won’t want to miss it. Small restaurants are here for your relaxation and enjoyment.
