Learn more about Grafton

This very small town, known for its mining of mica and granite quarries, is home to the “best kayaking spot in NH.” You will find many things to explore here as well, but as hard as you might search, you will not find any traffic lights!! Located on 319 acres of peaceful, remote, undeveloped shoreline is Grafton Pond where you can spend the day exploring uninhabitable islands and enjoy great fishing. For a breath-taking but strenuous adventure, Mount Tripyramid is something you will not soon forget. Thrilling is the word!! Estimate an eight-hour journey for the experienced hiker. There are two country stores in Grafton — Wilbur’s for “in a pinch needs,” with old fashioned glass bottled soda, animal feed and just about anything you might need. Grafton Country Store offers a large variety of supplies as well but, in addition, has a bakery, pizza and the like. And then, located deep in the woods is a destination farm that you will totally enjoy and leave with wonderful memories. The Autumn Harvest Farm. A farm store with local cheeses, milk, meat, fresh garden vegetables and flowers, homemade ice cream, and the “BEST MAC AND CHEESE,” you will leave with a smile on your face knowing that you are taking home freshness for you and your family. Also on sight is a cafe which serves breakfast and lunch and also makes ‘take home meals’ available. Three Airbnb rooms can be rented or there are campsites if you prefer. Hiking trails, a quilt shop to browse and very friendly people. A destination you say? It certainly sounds like it!!
