Learn more about Sullivan
The town of Sullivan was made up of portions of Gilsum, Stoddard, Nelson and Keene, when residents of remote parts of each town petitioned for an incorporated town that would be more central to all. This town was named after General John Sullivan, a Revolutionary War hero. Sullivan was the first town in New Hampshire to dedicate a monument to its soldiers lost in the Civil War. The monument sits across from the Sullivan Congregational Church. With a mix of charming and modern homes, beautiful farmland, rolling hills, a lovely brook with waterfalls as you travel into town, you will feel welcomed to stop and have a picnic and enjoy the scenery and relax.
